208 of the 316 properties on this site say dogs are welcome. 108 say they are not. Both numbers come from the merchant's own listing.
201 of the 208 also state how many dogs, which is the question that decides whether a booking works for a household with two.

The refusals
Most cottage sites list the properties that take dogs and leave out the ones that do not, so a refusal is something you find out at the point of booking. The 108 refusals here were read off the merchant's page in the same pass as everything else, and each appears on that property's own page in the merchant's words.
Access rules for dogs are not the same in Scotland as in England and Wales, and some of them change with the season. The Countryside Code, published jointly by Natural England and Natural Resources Wales, covers England and Wales. The Scottish Outdoor Access Code, which NatureScot has a duty to keep under review, covers Scotland. This page publishes neither, because a rule printed here in August is a rule somebody reads in March.
