Every route leads with its distance, its climb and where you park, because those three figures decide whether a day is realistic before you drive to it. Each page also says who the route does not suit.
Aira Force and Gowbarrow
An easy National Trust waterfall walk on Ullswater's shore, the spot said to have inspired Wordsworth's daffodils.

Views you can drive to
Not everyone in the car wants a six-hour day, and some people cannot have one. These are the places where you park, walk a few minutes, and get the view anyway.
Castlerigg Stone Circle
A Neolithic stone circle on a hilltop plateau near Keswick, with a 360-degree view of surrounding fells reached in a couple of minutes on foot.
